Abstract
This study aims to understand the practices and policies of talent management to improve organizational performance in creative industries in Semarang. There are many things that can affect the failure of the implementation of talent management, but in this study more focused discuss the talent management policy that can be a strategy to further improve the performance of the organization. Data were obtained by interviewing 13 respondents from each sub sector of creative industry in Semarang. Data analysis using interactive model data analysis techniques, the steps are collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. There are many things related to talent management policies that affect organizational performance, the author found five important talent management practices in the study, those are pivotal positions, hiring of talent, talent identification, talent development, and talent retention. In addition there is support through talent management implementation strategies and talent management oriented culture in talent management policies that become moderating variables, and all of these are influencing performance of the organization.
