Abstract

Nursing staff is the largest resource in the structure of hospital staff. This shows that nursing staff is a key factor that determines hospital success in providing the best service. To produce the best service with high quality, hospitals must be supported by professional health personnel, prioritizing organizational interests, and willing to show OCB behavior when needed. OCB behavior is very necessary for the hospital because it can maintain organizational effectiveness and can lift the image of the hospital in the eyes of the community. Based on theoretical studies, the behavior of OCB is influenced by several factors, including job satisfaction, the quality of superior relations with subordinates, and work-life balance. This article aims to analyze the relationship of leader-member exchange, work-life balance and organizational citizenship behavior mediated by job satisfaction. In particular, this study will explore the relationship between variables that influence OCB behavior in nursing staff in hospitals. Taking nursing staff as a sample of research is based on the fact that nursing staff are health workers with the largest percentage in the hospital. The behavior of OCB from nursing staff is needed by the hospital as a health service institution to be able to provide the best health services to the community.
