Abstract


This study aims to analyze the influence of job characteristics and career development on performance mediated organizational commitment.

This type of research is explanatory research. The population in this study were 115 employees, the sample used was 115 respondents. The data used are primary data by sending questionnaires to respondents. The analysis was carried out by multiple linear regression analysis and mediation test using the sobel test.

The results of the study can be concluded that job characteristics have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, career development has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, job characteristics have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, organizational commitment has a positive effect and significant to employee performance, organizational commitment mediates the influence between job characteristics on employee performance, and organizational commitment mediates the influence between career development on employee performance
